Domestic shipping with USPS in test mode works fine but when I enter a valid international shipping address I get this error:

There are no rates available. We will immediately inform you about the actual transport costs. Please feel free to contact us: (my email). Select [Continue] to send a new shipping rates request.
USPS Rates Request Error, Number: 80040b1a, USPS Rates Request Error: API Authorization failure. IntlRate is not a valid API name for this protocol.

What do I need for International shipping?

You need to sign up for a USPS Webtools account, it will not work with a normal USPS account.

Go to http://www.usps.com/webtools/

or the signup page

https://secure.shippingapis.com/registration/

There are two usernames and passwords required to get shipping working. One is for your Globecharge account and the other is for Webtools USPS. The right one has to be added in the right location.

Another thing is that if you use USPS you need to make sure that you use weights in your products.

Also in your payment settings, Properties => Payment methods accepted you also need to specify your GlobeCharge username there.

There is an error that has been fixed in Version 6.2.9

6.2.9: Error caused by USPS rate name changes: Fixed by replacing the wrong formatted characters returned by USPS for international rates.
